After hours of deliberation and arguing from the Blitz Board, (which consists of captains from all the teams and founding members of the league), they have decided that we are strengthening our stance on fighting.
All fighting will result in automatic suspensions. The length will be determined by the board and the witnesses at the scene.
We don’t ask much here. Everyone is free to yell and express your opinions but unfortunately, that will never change the outcome. A referee will never pick up a flag and say that you were right in the middle of the game. We are all human and we all make mistakes. You drop a pass, a ref misses a holding penalty. That’s how football works. Vince Lombardi once said “Football is a lot like life. It requires perseverance, self-denial, hard-work, sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority.”
I feel like I have lost some of you here as you are probably looking at the picture above and daydreaming of ducks and girls but let’s put it simply...
If you can’t act like a grown-up and hold in your emotions, then we don’t need you. If you don’t like it, then you don’t have to play, there is always someone else to take your place. If this sounds condescending to you…Good; cuz it’s supposed to be. When your teammates are shaking their heads at your actions, then you should know you done gone out and messed up.
This isn’t daycare, it’s a flag football in New Hampshire (and soon to be mass). It’s not that serious. Like for real calm down and chill. Peace and Love man. Peace and Love.
