Life is fragile. Life is beautiful. Life is a gift. But sometimes life can be short.
Over the weekend we lost a wonderful human and a pillar of the Blitz family and community. Jesse Fohtsyay, tragically passed away this weekend and his impact on and off the field will never be forgotten.
For those of you that knew Jesse, you knew he was there every single week with a smile on his face. He would get tackled and get up giggling. He always joked he would lead the league in interceptions even though he didn’t play defense. He would show up not only to play, but to have a few beers on the sideline with his team and their opponents. He was a joy to be around and as genuine as a person as you would ever meet.
He loved riding his motorcycle to games, talking about Syracuse sports, watching hockey and of course shotgunning beers on the sideline at Blitz on Saturdays for over seven years.
Rest easy buddy, we all hope you are finally at peace and resting easy with your parents.
Hug your loved ones a bit tighter every chance you can get.
Forever a legend, gone and never forgotten.
R.I.P. Jesse
