They were the consensus number one to start the season. They were full of award winners, MVP’s and former champions. We called them the “Los Angeles Rams” to start the season. And Just like the LA Rams, they done gone out and won themselves the ship.
They looked sleek and fast in white and red. They led the league and points and spread the ball around to everyone. ST played as a team and won as a team.
Despite their high flying aerial assault, it was their defense that did the job when it counted. They took down the defending champions; who just so happened to bed the second highest scoring team in the league, ROD, with impressive fashion holding them to just 12 points.
Congratulations to ST for standing strong and overcoming the odds to take down goliath.
Next time you see these guys, give ’em a pound cause they earned this championship for sure.
