There will not be a flagcast this week due to scheduling conflicts however, we would be remised to not have a special shoutout post to the two stars of the week. The two stars who just so happened to be playing against each other. Against each other where not one, but two long standing single game records were broken.
In a matchup between the one time champions, the Scoregasms and F.T.B.; wide receiver, Brian Pacheco hauled in a new blitz record 17 receptions. A record of 16 was previously held by AJ Labrecque of the Tigers and Deric LaFond of the “Loins” (as he spelled it). Pacheco was everywhere the whole game and could not be stopped on the offensive side of the ball.
However, across from him on the defensive side of the ball, there was one man that could stop him. It was the Scoregasms’ Dr. Jerry Brown. He also set a new record in this one. Capturing, 14 flags beating Alex Kahl’s record of 13 in a single game.
F.T.B. bested the Scoregasms in this one but it was quite the spectacle for onlookers to see both players going bonkers the whole game.
In other record breaking news, Scoregasms DB Huncho sits at 43 tackles through 6 games. With just 5 tackles he can tie the single season record of 48 set by commissioner, Kevin Langevin. Can he do it? He’s averaging just over 7 tackles a game so with 7, he can be the first ever Blitzer to get 50 tackles in a season.
What a week we’re all in store for in the season finale this Saturday. LFG #szn27
