Tis the season for more midseason information. Yesterday we did the awards, so why not do teams today? Here are your teams’ midseason grades.
BATTLETOADS
Offense: INC
The Toads have yet to have their offseason acquired QB to attend a game. They’re offense has sputtered to say the least, however, this could be a testament to their lack of commitment.
Defense: D+
Probably another commitment level problem but their defense has been porous and has only allowed just two stops so far this season.
FLAGNADO
Offense: A
Flagnado’s offense has been on fire averaging a league high 37.3 points per game. However, a few turnovers here and there prevents this offense from being an A+ squad.
Defense: B
The defense has also been one of the best in the league (currently 4th in points allowed) but in the team’s lone loss, their defense lead a lot to be desired.
F.T.B.
Offense: B-
With 69 points scored (nice) at this juncture, it ranks in the middle of the pack. But their consistenty is hurting their offensive workflow. Big turnover from last season but still stars around just need to work together more to soar.
Defense: B
Another middle of the pack performance, but averaging 1 INT per game is enough to keep pace with anyone in the league.
GOYA BEANZ
Offense: B-
The B- grade is low for this offense full of weapons. They have the potential to put up more than the mediocre 22.5 PPG they have been scoring.
Defense: B+
4 interceptions, 1 fumble and 2 pick sixes have this being a scary unit. However, allowing 22.5 on D and scoring 22.5 could be a rare problem down the road.
LEGION OF DOOM
Offense: A-
The third highest scoring team in the league is lead by a QB who slings and runs and a plethora of receivers who can do the same.
Defense: A
Allowing just 45 points through four games with a pair of shut outs is the mark of a near perfect defense.
NEIGHBORHOOD MISFITS
Offense: INC
The new Heroes aka misfits will make their second half debut this weekend. Hopefully they can pick up and give some teams a scare.
Defense: INC
Losing their top defender to another squad will be a tough blow but we will see this weekend who is ready to pick up the reigns.
NEW ERA
Offense: C-
At times this offense is legit and can score with the best of them, but a lot of times they are out of sync and missing consistent pieces.
Defense: D+
This squad is the second worst statistically in the league but they do have 2 turnovers, one of which was a pick six. There are bright spots but a lot of holes still that need to be filled.
NIGHTMARE
Offense: B+
Yes they are averaging 34.0 PPG (2nd in the league) and they scored 66 in one game but in their losses, they have neglected to put up huge numbers.
Defense: C-
One of three teams to give up 100+ points thus far, they have a ton of athletes on this side of the ball but they also have a lot of mouths to feed which might be a tad bit problematic.
RAW TALENT
Offense: C-
In a tough spot at the midway point, looking for new ways to create offense with new bodies. But with their original core, they should be averaging more than 16 points per game sooner rather than later.
Defense: B-
One of the toughest teams to line up against, physicality has gone a long way. They force a lot of turnovers so their defense could help save the offense if it sputters.
SCOREGASMS
Offense: C+
Attendance issues have aided this once great offense’s current struggles. Pieces are still there but several of them are committed elsewhere.
Defense: C+
Technically at the bottom half of the rankings, but defense is much better than it appears. However, only two turnovers to this point is somewhat alarming.
SHOTGUNNAZ
Offense: B
Took a hit getting shutout until the final two minutes of their last game, but this grade is temporary as they have studs at every spot.
Defense: A-
Don’t sleep on this defense. They don’t cause a lot of turnovers but they don’t allow a lot of points either, 45 total; tied for first in the league.
VIKINGS
Offense: A
Since the week one stinker, this offense has been number 2 overall in the league.
Defense: A-
This defense leads the league in takeaways and is also stingy when it comes to points. They’ve only allowed 14.3 all season despite getting blown out on opening day.
